Spicy Stir-Fried Squid
Ingredients
3 Tbsp soy sauce
2 to 3 Tbsp hot bean paste
1 tsp sugar
1 Tbsp sesame seed, toasted
1 onion, sliced
3 Tbsp olive oil
1 carrot, shredded
1 lb squid tubes, cleaned and cut into 1-inch rings
Method/Steps
1. Heat sesame seeds into a frying pan over medium heat, shaking pan often, until golden, 3 to 5 minute.
2. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, bean paste, sugar and sesame; set aside. In a frying pan over medium high heat, cook onion in 2 Tbsp oil unti golden; stir often. Add carrot; stir until carrot is tender-crisp, about 1 minute. Lift out vegetables and set aside.
3. Add remaining oil and squid to pan. Stir fry until squid is opaque, about 2 minutes. Add bean paste and vegetables; stir until bubbling. Pour into a bowl.
