Korean Barbecued Pork
Ingredients
1 to 1-1/2 lbs boned pork shoulder, sliced into 1/4-inch thick strips about 8 inches long and 2-1/2 inches wide
Basic Korean Hot Sauce
1 Tbsp sesame oil
1 Tbsp rice wine or dry sherry
2 to 3 Tbsp hot bean paste
2 Tbsp soy sauce
3 Tbsp water
3 Tbsp green onion, sliced
1 garlic clove, minced
1 tsp each sugar and pepper
2 tsp fresh ginger, minced
Method/Steps
1. In a bowl, mix pork strips and hot sauce. Cover and chill for 2 hours or overnight.
2. Lay strips on a grill. Turn often until no longer pink in centre, about 8 minutes.
Korean Hot Sauce
1. Combineall ingredients. Stir and add to pork.
