She makes cooking look effortless, especially when she whipped up a delicious frittata for us at our after-Christmas party. Nancy added sautéed zucchini and goat cheese to the frittata. This is my version — use whatever you have on hand to make your own!

Grapefruit-Basil Sorbet

1 cup each water and sugar

2 cups fresh squeezed grapefruit juice

2 Tbsp basil, finely chopped

Method/Steps

Bring water and sugar to a boil over high heat; stir to dissolve sugar. Chill. Add juice and basil to sugar syrup. Pour mixture into a pan and freeze until hard. Or use an ice cream maker and follow manufacturer’s directions
