This ready-to-use Organic Pancake and Waffle Batter comes in a whipped cream-style can and recently became available in grocery stores across Canada.

"Batter Blaster offers Canadians a fun, innovative way to prepare crisp and airy waffles or light and fluffy pancakes in minutes, with virtually no clean up. It's the kind of versatile product that appeals to everyone from time-pressed parents and singles to university students on the go -- anyone who wants a healthy, delicious meal, fast," said Michael Chernack, president of Geshem Products Inc, the Canadian distributor.

Lower in fat, calories and sodium per serving than many other pancake mix brands, Batter Blaster is certified Canada Organic and made from the highest quality ingredients, including organic eggs from certified humanely raised cage-free hens. The pressurized cans are made of recyclable steel, and the propellant contains no ozone-depleting CFCs. "It's perfect for breakfast or as an anytime snack or meal, great for portion control or making single servings, and even handy to take camping or RV-ing."

I thought that this product was a great idea -- organic and natural ingredients in a convenient and fun package. I don’t think my Saturday morning pancake fests have ever been this quick and easy. The pancakes were very fluffy. I don’t know if it was the organic soybean powder or the organic rice bran extract, but something in the mix did leave behind a bit of an unpleasant aftertaste for me. My family didn’t experience the aftertaste; they totally loved the entire experience. My grocery store has Batter Blaster priced at $6.99 per bottle. At first glance, it seems like a lot to pay for one bottle. But, if my math is correct, the cost works out to about 3¢ per pancake. Not a bad deal.

Each 16-ounce can of Batter Blaster makes approximately 23 four-inch pancakes. Batter Blaster can be found in the refrigerated section of both independent and national retailers including Loblaws, Metro, Sobeys, Walmart and Whole Foods or visit www.batterblaster.ca.

My sister brought us a can of Batter Blaster as a little gift. Tried it for breakfast on Thanksgiving morning and the kids loved it! And one less meal/thing for me to worry about. no mess, quick and quite tasty. I'll keep it in my fridge for quick, warm breakfasts from now on.
