Angelo Bean, the "Sausage King" who was featured in the July/August 2009 issue of Tidings, will be leading cooking classes at Culinarium in Toronto.  Bean follows the “Italian Roots in Local Soil” philosophy that is a hallmark of his Ontalia products.  Spend a night out with a gracious, funny and interesting host. The  cooking classes are completely hands-on, no modern tools here, folks!

The first class will focus on sausage-making. You'll have the opportunity to do something most people never do in their lifetime -- process a whole Berkshire pork shoulder. Also on the schedule are Riesling and Baco Noir Salsiccia.  These are the same sausages that won Bean the "Best Sausage in Ontario" championship.

No electric grinders, fancy stuffers!  Only a small old hand grinder will help you produce extremely tasty sausages.  When Bean says "hands-on", he really means it! Cook, eat, then take some home.

The first class, called Sensational Sausage, runs on Monday May 3 from 6:30 – 8:30 pm and costs $69. To register, call Culinarium at 647-430-7004 or visit their website. Culinarium is located at 705 Mount Pleasant Road (south of Eglinton) in Toronto.
