Not prepared to dole out megabucks for a top Cal Cuvée? Not a problem. Well known for it’s high-end Sonoma varietals, DeLoach Vineyards has introduced the “California Series” Merlot, Cab and Zin at an affordable $14.95 each.

The Merlot is true-to-type with smoky plum, licorice and raspberry jam aromas and a round, supple, vanilla and blackberry-tinged palate. The Zinfandel is ripe, succulent and classic with peppery fruit and freshly-crushed blackberry aromas and flavours. Complex and well defined for the price, the Cabernet Sauvignon sports mocha, mineral and blackberry nuances wrapped around a lush, ripe cherry, tobacco-leaf core.  Bring on the BBQ!
