A diaper for a bottle of wine? Really? Ok, so it's just a padded bottle bag used to transport wine. It sounds silly, though, doesn't it.
Despite the gimmicky name, the idea is a good one."How," the website writers ask, "do you ensure that your wine will arrive safely…?" I usually use socks and other pieces of clothing to wrap up the bottles, then I tuck them into the suitcase and hope that nothing larger and heavier lands on it! The wine diaper purports to not only keep bottles from breaking; but, in the event that the unthinkable happens to your only bottle of 1961 Barolo, the diaper will absorb the liquid effectively keeping any surrounding clothes and valuables clean and dry. Although I do have to wonder why you're even attempting to transport a bottle of 1961 Barolo. Then again, perhaps Tony Aspler had the right idea. In his experience of moving house, he found that rather than move it, invite a few friends over and drink it.
Cheers!
