Looking for some spooky recipes for your Hallowe’en bash? Tidings has it all wrapped up for you. From blood soup to witches’ fingers, scare up some fare that’s sure to leave your guests shaking in their boots.
“Fillet of a fenny snake, in the cauldron boil and bake. Eye of newt and ….” Well, you probably don’t need to go that far. But you can transform any recipe into freaky food by adding a few drops of food colouring or by giving it a creepy name.
Here are some spine-tingling treats to try.
Witches’ Fingers – Place a small dollop of hummus on one end of a carrot stick. Carefully lay one slivered almond over the hummus. (It will look like a fingernail!)
Caramelized Brain -- Pick up 4 small molds in the shape of a brain at a kitchen or dollar store.
