Thai Kitchen has released some new products focusing on vibrant curry dishes to help Canadians celebrate the Thai New Year, also called the Songkran Festival, a four-day event which starts April 13.
Thai Kitchen Thin Rice Noodles contains no wheat, gluten, cholesterol, egg or fat. Along with Thai Kitchen’s other products including sauces, pastes and coconut milk, anyone can make Thai cuisine at home.
“Songkran means passage and refers to the position of the sun in the solar system,” says Eins Mutuc, Thai Kitchen Product Manager, McCormick Canada. “In ancient times, this was the time when the sun moved into Aries, where the sun was equidistant to the Earth. Traditions associated with this festival include releasing birds from their cages, throwing water, parades, and serving traditional Thai food.”
